As I leafed through Art Wolfe's new book" Travels To The Edge" my excitement has extinguished halfway and a disappointment set in by the last page of the book. Don`t get me wrong, Art Wolfe is a great photographer. He is coming from an era when Fuji Velvia was Queen and a Nikon F4 or Canon EOS 1 was King.
The Book is the problem not the author. Priced to $ 24.95 is a good buy this days, but I would not buy it at all. The photos are mostly out of focus and the colors are washed. I look at the `Manufactured in China` line. Not printed. Manufactured. Just like some dollar store item. Well, it belongs to the dollar store.
